The musing of a recently turned 29 year old

Hello everyone who remembered my birthday. Thanks so much! At this age (wah... i sound so old) ... I value the cheng-yi more than anything. Of course presents are welcome (haha) as well as all the well wishes! I felt v loved when friends, students, colleagues and family came and celebrated my birthday with me. I ate so many cakes that I have room only for one more. I had oreo cake from s13, strawberry cake from savory fare, strawberry tall-cake from four-leaves, mango cake from s12 and hmmm... let me guess... what cake I will eat on sun? Actually it was quite funny to see so many candles on my cake.... too bad next year only got 3 big ones.

Hmmm everytime people ask me to make a wish... I'm begining to think that wishing... no use... just work hard for what you really want or you pray hard and just keep trusting God! I must live for a worthy cause and make each day count!!! With the prelims drawing near, I feel myself worrying alot about my students. Please pray for me to have wisdom to know how to help them and also to trust God's purposes for them too. We reap not where we laboured.. yup we sometimes don't see the fruit or result, but it doesn't mean that the investment is wasted :)

Cosette I agree that life is certainly more than having good grades... and having a good life... we must have God in the mainframe picture in our lives lest we live our lives in aimless pursuit of the better but miss out the best...which is to live for God's purpose in our lives. We are like jars of clay which holds out the treasure (Jesus) who can shine through gloriously even in the life of one whom society deems as a failure.
