Sectional Bowling on 31May, Saturday

About 10 of use went for the sectional bowling this afternoon organised by Jayne. We had so much fun! I got to know 3 names from our section*, not sure about the rest. It was quite refreshing to bowl since I hadn't done so for such a long time, though I was one of the lowest scorers. Haha! Was quite happy that we won the "inter-cell challenge"! All thanks to the strikes and the spares by Gene, Jiawei, Elisa who did most of the scoring; Shuhui and Jasmine contributed too. As for the other Jeremiah team that was competing as well...hmm..well, we had fun =p

After bowling, we went for steamboat at Joo Chiat. Personally, I hadn't had such a time with the cell for some time and was really glad to be able to fellowship with them. And the steamboat was really worth it! Cos I ate lots of prawns and crabs! Haha! Yummy! We were so full at the end of it. When we first reached, we were the first ones in the shop and as we sat there for 2 hours and ate and ate and ate, the shop had more and more and more people. Ha!

The highlight of the day (other than the "turkeys" that Elisa and Jiawei did and the "near-turkey" experience that Gene had) was the dessert! We had wanted to look for the durian puff shop but it was closed. Then, I spotted this nice shop (Obolo) that sells cheese cakes and all and I dashed across the street (I really did)! Alas! It was worth the dash...the desserts were really yummy..we had 8 macarons and 1 raspberry cheese cake (our stomach couldn't afford more) and we couldn't ask for more. The stuff they sell there almost pales in comparison to all the other desserts out there (ok, maybe I'm sua ku but my point is, they are really nice!).

It was a nice day with no rush and fuss and we just explored Joo Chiat leisurely (except for Brandon who had to rush off to NTU). See some photos below! Am looking forward to another eating day in the East!

*For those who do not know, all the cell groups in the youth congregation are divided into 3 sections, according to the demographics of the cell group, led respectively by Christopher Chan, Jayne Chong and Pastor Loke.

Welcome Knights!

Hi Knights. I'm not sure how long this blogging thing will last or whether it will popularise in the cell group. But I shall give it a try. At most, I'll just talk to myself. Haha! =p

Well, to start with, this will be a place where we can leave our thoughts, edifications, encouragements, frustrations, complaints, etc. I hope this will "come in handy" during the week when the cell group doesn't gather. HOWEVER, this will not replace our sharing times during and outside of cell time when we meet up with one another. As much as technology has allowed us to communicate without face-to-face contact, we do not want to lose the human touch. Also, please do not start scolding people or post your frustrations or gossips towards one another here ya. Haha! Whatever "conflicts", we still need to deal with them face-to-face! (Jiawei! I got listen to your Benny Ho!)
