.life.is.not.just.about.jokes.as.it.is.a.joke.itself.?.

hi all,

my first post for the year 2010 and we are already marching into march! (synchronised with our blog's name).

in the midst of the darkness, there is always a gleam of light!

well, the 2 jokes shared by our guest speaker, rev lawrence seow on 27 feb's service are hilarious and i am trying to pen them down so that they may be useful for you when you need to break the ice.

i hope i am able to reproduce as closely as to what was told on saturday.

main character: an old man

joke #1:

there is a young chap who walks towards a bench in a park and chooses to sit beside an old man.
the old man turns his head and takes a look at the young man.
'what are you looking at, old man?’ asks the young man.
'have you not seen this colourful spiky hair style before?’ chides the young man.
'i bet you have not done something as wild as this, dyeing your hair with so many different colours!’ says the young man with a sneer.
the old man moves his head closer to the young man and he takes a closer look at the latter.
then, after taking a deep breath, the old man heaves a sigh and says, 'well, young man, i have.'
'in fact, i am thinking if you are indeed my son as i was wild like you before because i slept with a peacock when i was drunk at your age!' the old man continues.

joke #2:

an old man is speeding on the road.
a traffic police car is following the old man's car closely and when the old man is asked to stop his car, he doesnt conform to the request and steps on his accelerator!
the traffic police officer finally gets to overtake the old man's car and the latter has to eventually stop his car.
'why didnt you stop your car earlier on?' asks the officer.
'my wife ran away with a traffic police officer last month and i thought you were that guy and was chasing after me to return her to me!' the old man says with a frown.

enjoy!
